Recovery Unplugged owns and operates several Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Treatment Centers across the United states. We are headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) our team in FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA. As a Nurse Practitioner at Recovery Unplugged, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our clients, collaborating with our team of doctors, therapists, and support staff. This is an on-site, full-time role where you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care at our new facility in Falls Church, Virginia. This is a newly created role to support our new outpatient treatment facility in Falls Church, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Create a positive and supportive environment for our clients, fostering their emotional well-being.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and diagnosis of substance abuse/mental health disorders with the highest level of clinical expertise.
- Provide focused and individualized care to each client, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
- Show empathy and compassion in your interactions with individuals experiencing substance abuse/mental health challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client and the treatment team.
- Prescribe and manage medications as needed, ensuring client safety and compliance.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of clients through regular follow-up appointments.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in distress.
- Collaborate closely with our team of behavioral health professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all client interactions.
- Participate in on-going professional development and stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatry/behavioral health.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in psychiatric nursing or physician assistant studies
- Current state licensure and certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in providing psychiatric care and managing related medications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion and empathy in working with individuals experiencing mental/behavioral health challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical and legal standards.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
